Hola a todos,

después de mucho silencio, vuelvo a la carga con una nueva entrega desde el Mar Rojo. La tranquilidad de estos días de vacaciones me permitirá compartir con vosotros alguna fotito nueva.

Hace viento, pero el agua está siendo muy agradecida. Pocos turistas, así que espero que más opción a ver más vida. Por ahora, estamos disfrutando del coral.

After a long silence, here I am again with new posts from the Red Sea. The peaceful of these days on holidays, will give me some chances to share with you a few photos.

It is windy, but water is being very grateful with us. A few tourist, so more options to find life. For now, we are enjoying corals.

La última inmersión del año - Last dive of the year

Hace mucho que el día a día no me deja ni un minuto para ponerme con el blog, pero desde luego, no podía pasar por alto el día de hoy. Llevamos unos días disfrutando del fresco del Cabo de Gata, y de una cantidad de vida increíble.

La última inmersión del año ha sido hoy en Los Burros, dos piedras "en medio de la nada" que albergan una variedad increíble de pececillos. No se dónde haremos mañana la primera del 2013, pero mi deseo es que los que buceáis disfrutéis de muchas burbujas en el año entrante, que los que os lo estáis pensando, os iniciéis en el buceo y dejéis que esta experiencia os transforme completamente (y si queréis, el curso os lo hago yo!!) y sobre todo que podamos compartir mil y una experiencia en este blog.

It has been a while since the day by day allows me to update the blog, but I could not pass this day. We have been enjoying the cold water of Cabo de Gata, and an unbelievable amount of life.

Last dive of the year has been on "Los Burros", two stones, "in the middle of nowhere" with a huge kind of different fishes. I do not know where we will go tomorrow for the first dive of 2013, but my wish is that the ones who dive, enjoy a lot of bubbles in this new year, and the ones who are thinking about diving, start diving and let this experience transform yourselves completely (and if you want, I can teach you!!), and most of all, that we could share a thousand and one experiences on this blog.

Puente en Almería 2

Aqui va una segunda ronda de fotos de las inmersiones de la pasada semana. Debo reconocer que me reconcilié con la inmersión de la restinga de las anclas, primero porque nunca encontraba el inicio de la inmersión (hay que cruzar un campo de posidonia) y segundo porque nunca había hecho fotos bonitas en esa inmersión. Vimos unos ermitaños muy divertidos, os dejo una foto.

Las otras fotos son de mi inmersión favorita, la punta de la isleta. Siempre es un acierto, por la belleza del recorrido y por la vida pequeña y grande que puedes ver.

El cabo de Gata siempre me deja un dulce sabor, es un área rica y variada en vida, y los últimos meses del año siempre resultan fascinantes, supongo que tiene que ver con la escasez de buzos, o que la bajada de las temperaturas atonta a los animales, y se dejan observar durante más tiempo.

Estoy en cuenta atrás para el próximo puente, Almería volverá a ser el destino. Mientras tanto, compartiré con vosotros algunas especies raras de Indonesia.

después de un tiempo en silencio, con muuuucho trabajo y poco tiempo libre, aprovecho que acabo de llegar de Almería para daros un poco de envidia con alguna fotito de un fin de semana estupendo.

Como en otras ocasiones, he salido a bucear con el Centro La Isleta del Moro, y he disfrutado de unos días y unas inmersiones estupendas.

El agua ya está fresquita, pero llena de vida, os deseo una gran semana!!

Like in other occasions, I went diving with La Isleta del Moro, and I have enjoyed a few days with great dives.

Water is a little fresh, but fool of life.

Pasión por los nudibranquios 2 - Passion for nudibranches 2

Aunque todavía tengo que exprimir el libro de Steven Fish del uso de Final Cut para vídeo subacuático, adelanto un vídeo de las vacaciones de este verano. La mayoría de las tomas son del Parque Nacional de Bunaken, que me cautivó con la gran diversidad de especies. Y, sobre todo lo demás, mis queridos nudibranquios.

I need to squeeze the book by Steven Fish about the use of Final Cut for underwater videos, but even so I advance a video of last holidays of this summer.

Most of the cuts are from Bunaken National Park. I was captivated by the biodiversity. And over all other, my dear nudibranches.

Pasión por los nudibranquios – Passion for nudibranches.

No me gustan los caracoles. Ni las babosas. Pero cuando en una inmersión veo un nudibranquio, el corazón se me acelera.

No se si es por la fragilidad que aparentan, o por lo despacito que se mueven y el escaso mes que suelen vivir, o por sus vivos colores, pero cuando veo uno, no puedo evitar pararme a contemplarlos.

Durante nuestras vacaciones en Lembeh y Bunaken, tuve la oportunidad de ver mil y un tipos. Aquí os dejo unos ejemplos.

Ya no queda nada para el fin de semana, y esta vez yo buceo. ¡Ojalá vea algún nudibranquio!













I do not like snails. Neither slugs. But when I see a nudibranch on a dive immersion, my heart beats stronger.

Do not know if it's the fragility they seem, or for how slowly they move, and the poor month they used to live, or their bright colors, but when I see one, I can not help but watch them.

During our vacation in Lembeh and Bunaken, I had the opportunity of seeing a thousand and one types. Here you have some examples.

La importancia del decorado - The importance of the set

Las inmersiones de este verano en Lembeh y en Siladen me han dejado una extensa pasarela de bichos raros, como os contaba hace unos días, y tiempo habrá para irlos presentando uno a uno.

Sin embargo, una cosa me queda clara, y sigue sorprendiéndome en cada inmersión. Y es la importancia del decorado, de los tapices que recubren las paredes del fondo del mar.

Cuando reviso las fotos tras las inmersiones, mi compañero de buceo siempre me dice, otra foto de tus brócolis. Esos son los corales blandos en nuestra jerga, pero es que hay infinidad de vida que hace del entorno algo único.

Así que el post de hoy va dedicado a esos detalles de las paredes tan ricas, no solo de este destino, sino de cualquier inmersión que puedes disfrutar. Ya seréis conscientes de mi ignorancia para identificar especies, pero más vale una imagen que mil palabras, no?









Dives in Lembeh and Siladen this summer have left me an extensive gateway of critters, as I told you a few days ago, and there will be time for presenting them one by one.

However, one thing is clear to me and continues to amaze me on every dive. It is the importance of the set, the tapestries lining the walls of the underwater.

When I review the photos after a dive, my buddy always says, "another picture of your broccoli". These are soft corals on our slang, but there's a myriad of life that makes the environment unique.

So today's post is dedicated to those rich details of the walls, not only in this location, but any dive you can enjoy. You will be aware of my ignorance to identify species after all my posts, but a picture is better than a thousand words, right?
